Vermont Mozart Festival Chamber Players’ Clarinet Quintet performs July 25, 2017 at Summer Music from Greensboro, Vermont's premier summer music festival.

On July 25th, the Vermont Mozart Festival Chamber Players’ clarinet quintet – which is scheduled to perform in the Vermont Mozart Festival in Burlington – will travel to Greensboro to perform works by Brahms and Mozart.

On August 8th, as a change of pace and in celebration of Greensboro’s rural setting that we all love, we will present the six-person bluegrass band Bob Amos & Catamount Crossing, “one of the most talented bluegrass artists in the country” (Times-Argus).

Bob Amos is a renowned bluegrass performer and from 1988 to 2004 was the lead singer, guitarist and guiding force behind the internationally known bluegrass band Front Range, which recorded multiple CDs for the influential Nashville, Tennessee acoustic indie label Sugar Hill Records.

Bob Amos & Catamount Crossing is widely recognized as Vermont’s premier bluegrass band and is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the best bluegrass bands in New England, featuring “great songwriting, impeccable playing that honors bluegrass tradition and vocals that can stop you in your tracks” (VPR) and that showcase Bob’s top notch original material as well as unique arrangements of some bluegrass classics.

On August 15th, for our final concert of the summer, we’re delighted to present “something extraordinary” (The New York Times), namely, the Grammy Award-winning Parker Quartet from Boston.

The Parker Quartet is one of America’s foremost quartets, praised for its “fiercely committed performances…intense, virtuosic, utterly assured” (Boston Globe).

Inspiring performances, luminous sound, and exceptional musicianship are the hallmarks of the Parker Quartet.
